Thank you ladies for an amazing shower ~ I couldn't have asked for more!!! It was a beautiful, sunny day full of lots of love and laughter. :) And, another BIG thanks to all our family and friends who joined us - it meant a lot to me (and Stephen & baby) that you came to support us and join in our celebration!! We are so blessed and can't wait for all of you to meet our little one ~ he is SO loved! :)

~Totally Nesting~

So...I have reached the point of NESTING and also becoming quite emotional! We are 6 months along now and I have all these things I want to do and have done NOW for babies arrival - which is still 3 months out!! Haha, I laugh, but it seems like tomorrow and I know it will be here before we know it. :)

Today was a CRAZY day...I felt like I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off - yet I feel like I got close to nothing done and everything that could go wrong - did! Go figure. Therefore, tonight I made a "Babies-on-the-way TO DO list" for the nursery items and things around the house. I needed to get my thoughts on paper because I'm just not feeling like I am thinking straight and I keep bouncing from doing one thing to the next!

We have completed painting babies room and I am SO anxious to start setting up the furniture and putting things away...especially after our fabulous shower this past weekend! I have TONS of baby clothes and little things that I want to organize and find a "home" for in the nursery. However, babies room was and still IS our guest bedroom for now since we still have friends and family coming to visit before babies arrival, so the guest bed needs to stay. Which I totally get b/c we still have 3 months - BUT I am starting to get antsy!

Other than my nesting habits lately - I am feeling pretty darn amazing! I am loving this pregnancy thing and I feel so blessed that I have truly had a smooth and enjoyable pregnancy so far! In the next few weeks, we are getting ready to sign up for some birthing classes to get us more informed on whats to come at delivery time! I am looking forward to it - not only to learn new things and help sooth my nerves about delivery, but also to bond even further with Stephen and hopefully have us meet some new couples in the area. :) We are also looking into which hospital we are interested in delivering at and scheduling some visits to see birthing centers. As we get closer... not only is there a lot to do to get home ready for our little bundle of joy...but also just a lot of prep for his arrival into the world. I still can't believe I am going to be a mommy ~ how amazing!

A Moving Machine!

Over the past two weeks, I have discovered my ultimate new found "favorite" of my pregnancy....what I have been waiting for, for weeks and weeks...........feeling our little man move EVERY day!!! :) Getting out of bed has become one of the hardest things for me to convince myself to do each morning, because when I am lying down he is the most active. Crawling into bed has become one of my favorite times of the day as well, because his movements give me reassurance and literally sooth me to sleep. Sounds funny, I know! It is by far the GREATEST feeling, to not only wake up next to my best friend, but to also be woken up by the "love taps" from my baby. I really cannot wait for his daddy to start feeling his movements. Stephen is becoming more and more excited to meet his little buddy, too! He is just beaming with pride and love for our baby...he makes my heart swell with so much love for him and our little one. Deep down, I can tell he is already planning his future hunting trips with our son! haha ;) I think he is hoping he will pop out with full camo gear and a bow and arrow - haha! We are both so in love with him already and cannot wait to meet him!

Along with babies movements...My tummy is continuing to grow right along with him and I have been feeling pretty darn good. Aside from the dreaded tossing and turning of sleepless nights and baby making me feel 10 degrees hotter than it is outside (so about 105+ or so some days), I am loving second trimester! And, as far as I am concerned, baby can just stay right where he is for as long as he wants. ;) Although I am so, so, SO very excited to meet him, the thought of how our lives will change once he is here is still hard to grasp at the moment! It is so much easier to take care of him and know he is safe while he is in my tummy. :)

We purchased our first piece of nursery furniture last week....the CRIB! :) Feels good to have the main piece of nursery furniture in our hands. I cannot wait to start putting furniture together and decorate!!! Along with my little nursery projects here and there...both Grandmothers are working on bedding and decor for the owl themed nursery!! Baby is very spoiled already and we are SO lucky to have so many "talented hands" in both of our families. :) Our family is extremely blessed....

Here is a picture of our favorite clothing gift so far...Uncle Jordan and Auntie Lauren brought it back from their trip to Hawaii...thanks again you two...it's priceless!! :) It is a little onesie that says "one man wolf pack" hahahah
